Passed away Friday morning, August 15, 2003 at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. Carol was born March 26, 1935 in Grand Ledge, MI the daughter of the late Hiram and Hazel (Colby) Bonney. She was a co-owner of Carol’s Coffee Cup Café in Decatur. She was a member of the Lawrence Chapter Order of Eastern Star and loved traveling, camping, reading and her family most of all. On May 29, 1971 in Detroit, Carol was united in marriage to George D. Brewer Sr. who survives. Also surviving are 7 children, Denise (Earl) Lietzau of Paw Paw, Tina (Thomas) Porter of Corunna, IN, George (Linda) Brewer, Jr. and Karl Brewer all of Decatur, Anita Brooks, Cassandra Brewer and Darrel W. Brewer all of California; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, David Hicks of Dearborn Heights, MI; aunt, Pauline Colby of Grand Ledge, MI; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Nicole. Family will receive friends Monday 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. C. William Weis officiating.
