Passed away Thursday afternoon, August 21, 2003 at LakeView Community Hospital, Paw Paw. Nancy was born October 11, 1925 in St. Clair, Michigan the daughter of the late William Bryan and Audrey G. (St. Johns) Babcock. She was a board member of the Paw Paw Alumni Corporation for over 25 years, and was employed by the Van Buren County Clerk’s office as the Chief Deputy Clerk and served as acting county clerk for a short time. On February 9, 1946 in Paw Paw Nancy was united in marriage to Richard Reits who preceded her in death on May 12, 1999. Surviving are 3 daughters and their families, Janna (Ron) Boven of Kalamazoo, Jeff, Tom (Steph), Marcy (Doug), Amy, Matt and Nancy’s great grandchildren, Alex and Megan; Tonda Houston of Paw Paw, her children, Rob, Dan (Fiancé Cari) and Jim; Pamela (Lou) Thomas of Paw Paw and their children, Jason, Laura, Adam, Ben, Jay and Nancy’s great grandson, Casey; many nieces and nephews, 2 cousins, Mary Jane and Marilyn Misenar; dear friend, Helen Mears of Paw Paw. Family will receive friends Sunday 1-2 p.m. at the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Inurnment of Cremains in Wildey Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to Van Buren County Hospice or the Paw Paw Volunteer Fire Department.
