Passed away Thursday, August 21, 2003 at home. Clement was born November 8, 1915 in South Bend, IN the son of Frank and Maryann (Lipowski) Krakowski. Clement was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving in WW II. On April 4, 1940 in Chicago, IL Clement was united in marriage to the former Mary Kulpa who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Vivian (Leo) Williams of Pine Grove, WV, granddaughter, Melissa Kessler of Ricon, GA; 4 grandsons, Dennis (Laureen) Krakowski of Brunswick, GA, David (Grace) Williams of Pine Grove, WV, Chris Williams of Pine Grove, WV, Brian (Leslie) Williams of Reader, WV; 11 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Frank (Frances) Krakowski of South Bend, IN, Louis (Sofie) Krakowski of Paw Paw; sister, Alice Machowiak of South Bend, IN; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Krakowski of Brunswick. Preceding Clement was a son Clement in 2001 and a brother, Edward Krakowski. Graveside services were held Tuesday August 26, 2003, at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Van Buren County or American Cancer Society.
