Passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at home. Joseph was born January 11, 1917 in Chicago, IL. the son of the late Antonio and Josephine (Fuoco) Mancuso. He was mayor of Dixmoor, IL for 24 years and was employed as a welder/supervisor by the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad for 42 years retiring in 1976. In 1980 in Kalamazoo, Joe was united in marriage to the former Joanne Dietrich who survives. Also surviving are 7 children; Joe (Cheryl),Dick, Mark (Julie), Sherry, Mike (Shellie), Harold (Chris), Annette (Eric); 24 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Christine Mancuso, Emily Morris, Helen Emerson; brother-in-law, Ray Rippe; many nieces and nephews. Family will received friends Friday 10 to 12 noon at the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw where services will be held, Friday 12 pm with the Rev. Fr. Robert F. Creagan officiating. Internment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Van Buren County or American Cancer Society.
