Max W. Phillips Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1913 - 2003 AGE: 90 PHILLIPS, Max W. Lawton Max Passed away Friday morning, Nov. 28, 2003 at his son’s home in Hamilton, MI with the assistance of Hospice of Holland. Max was born March 4, 1913 in Lawton, MI the son of Rix and Chleo (Conrad) Phillips. He was a grape farmer and carpenter for 35 years retiring in 1975. On June 8, 1940 in Ohio, Max was united in marriage to the former Katherine E. French who preceded him in death in 1997. He is survived by a daughter ands 2 sons, Maxine (Ernest) Ray of Mattawan, Barry (Sarah) Phillips of Clarke Summit, PA, and Gary (Karen) Phillips of Hamilton, MI; seven grandchildren and several nieces an nephews. Out of respect for our father’s wishes there will be no visitation or services as cremation has taken place. Interment of cremains will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland, Inc., 270 Hoover Blvd., Holland, MI 49423 Arrangements by the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
