Passed way Saturday, December 6, 2003 in Edenbrook Nursing Home in Tallahassee, Fl. Anna was born March 13, 1914 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Anton and Rose (Meraz) Svec. She was employed as a professional sewing instructor for the Singer Co. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Melichar on January 30, 2002. Surviving are 2 sons, Frank A. (Francesca) Melichar of Tallahassee, FL and George (Carol) Melichar of Youngstown, OH; daughter, Virginia Melichar of Ann Arbor, MI; 4 grandchildren, George Melichar of Chicago, Charles Melichar of Paw Paw, Josef and Stefan Melichar of Tallahassee, Fl. Family will receive friends Friday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw where s funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Robert F. Creagan officiating. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church. |

I would like to express my condolences to the family of Anna Melichar. I had worked with Anna for quite a few years at Wendy's.It was always nice to see her smiling face I always called her mother and she always called me her daughter and she would always have a big hug to give. She certianly had a way of bringing a smile to her fellow employees and Wendy's customers faces. She was a hard worker and very deciated to her job. I will miss her greatly.
