Ron, I was so sorry to hear about Dorothy. I will miss her smiles and the twinkle in her eyes at Planning Commission meetings. She always provided great insite into township issues, whether it was the zoning ordinance or a neighbor's request, I always could count on Dorothy to understand and articulate for all sides. You and your children are heavily in my thoughts these days. I wish you peace and contentment in these difficult days.

Ron, Jennifer and Matthew, Larry and I were so shocked to see Dorothy's obituary in the Gazette last week. We just want you to know how very sorry we are for your loss. There never are words at a time like this, but knowing friends and family are keeping you in their thoughts and prayers, somehow eases a bit of the pain. We needed to let you know you're in our thoughts and prayers. We pray for your strength and comfort to endure the days ahead. It is so hard to lose those we love, but it comes to all of us at some time. The very sad part of this life. We know Dorothy will be missed terribly. Again, we are so very sorry. Please accept our deepest condolences.

I just heard about the loss of this wonderful woman. Though it has been years since I've had contact with the Verlegers, the memories of her warmth and caring have never faded. I extend my deepest condolances to your family, especially to Matthew, with whom I share fond childhood memories intricately linked with your mother. I regret the late discover of your loss as I would very much have liked to attend the services. Feel free to contact me if there is anything that I can do or just to catch up again.

I knew Dorothy from a Stamp Club, that met at "Stamped in Time", many moons ago. I think we were two of a kind, as we were always going to get our stamps and tons of supplies in order, so we could stamp and play like we wanted to! Dorothy is probably now organizing a Stamp Club in Heaven! She will be missed. My thoughts are with you and all your family members.

I've known Dorothy since about 1995 as a fellow stamper. Dorothy introduced herself to me at a convention in Cincinatti. She invited me to join a stamp club that she was a member of here in town. I did not join and probably missed a lot of fun and education. It's those little acts of kindness that come to mind when someone passes. From this I need to learn not to miss those opportunities. That they are not really little opportunities but actually big opportunities in the grand scheme of things. I was so saddened to hear of her death. My condolences to all of her familly.

I only met Dorothy on a few occassions, but her daughter Jennifer was a very important part of my son's life for many years. Dorothy raised a wonderful young woman. I remember a delightful conversation at Jennifer's high school graduation party. My deepest condolences to the entire family. It is never easy to lose your mother at any age; even more difficult when she herself was so young. My sincerest sympathy.

Dorothy was such a special person; probably the most intelligent woman I've ever known. Though, as busy lives go, I seldom saw her in the last couple years, I can still hear her great laugh - it was like a melody, and just indicative of her great life attitude. I was one of a legion of people who knew her generosity - she spent countless hours with me, teaching me to use the computer - she was always so positive and praising of me. She made it such a happy experience. What a special person you all have had to share your lives with for 51 years. Not enough time, but still, the best times. I will always cherish the hours I spent with Dorothy.
