Passed away Sunday morning, March 7, 2004 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. Richard was born May 22, 1936 in Grosse Point, MI the son of the late Herbert and Bernice (Barns) Collier. He was employed as a foreman for the Van Buren County Road Commission retiring in 1998. Richard loved trips to the Baldwin area up north, woodworking, gardening and giving of his harvest to friend and neighbors. Surviving are 4 children, Debra Collier Wydick of Lawrence, Richard (Melissa) Collier II of James Town, TN; Donald (Juanita) Collier of Kalamazoo and Christopher (Julie) Collier of Paw Paw and their mother, Margaret (Brockett) Collier of Paw Paw; 13 Grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, BethAnn Collier Taylor of MS; aunt, Elizabeth Barns Bonnin of Detroit and a loving companion Dolores of Paw Paw. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a vigil service will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Paw Paw. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
