Passed away Thursday evening, March 11, 2004 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Richard was born February 5, 1949 in Kalamazoo the son of Charles and Connie (Ide) Alfieri. Richard was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army with the 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division. He was a member of the Marcellus VFW Post #4054, Gold Wings GWRRA Chapter D of Kalamazoo, and was chairman for the Kalamazoo Chapter of Agent Orange, Vietnam Veterans. Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca Alfieri of Portage; parents Charles and Connie Alfieri of Kalamazoo; sister, Carla (Dean) Hilton of White Pigeon; nephews, Anthony (Jenni) Hilton of Constantine, Matthew Hilton of Northville; 2 aunts, Ruth Miller of Paw Paw, Ardith Fogg of Walhalla; uncle, Edward Ide of Bristol, TN; several cousins. Family will receive friends Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. with Pastor Greg Silvey officiating. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission. |

Dick (Rich-for a lot of you) has been our dear friend since school days for 40 years. We loved him and we will miss him so much. So many memories, so little time. Our hearts are with his family and friends as we mourn his passing but celebrate his life.
