Passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at Metron of Belding. William was born December 24, 1913 in Simpson, PA, the son of Andrew and Anna (Souchick) Tokarchick. He was a former member of the Christ the Savior Eastern Orthodox Church, in Benton Harbor. On January 1, 1938 in Chicago, William was united in marriage to the former Gertrude Slick who preceded him in death on May 28, 1991. Surviving are a son, Martin Tokarchick in Sheridan; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Florence Vaverchak and Gertrude Fedak both of Pennsylvania; daughter in law, Mary Ann Pierce of Paw Paw; care givers, Angela Tokarchick and Roland Street of Belding. He was preceded in death by a son William Tokarchick in 1981, a daughter Verna Bonarski in 1988, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Friends may call Friday 6-8 pm at the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a Panikhida will be held at 7:30 pm. Services will be held Saturday at 11 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Fr. Vasily Melnyk, Celebrant. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of West Michigan.
