Even though I only met Tammy once when I receieved one of her foster cats when she could no longer care for them, I could tell that she cared deeply about the animals and her family. We were all blessed to have our lives touched by her! My prayers are with you, dear Turanzas family!

Tami was in the class of 1976 in Newberry. We just read it in the newspaper about her. I didn't know her well, but she always had a smile and a hello for everyone. Her classmates wish her husband and family well and god bless all of you.

I am so sorry to hear about Tami's passing. I met her as a KAR volunteer when she trained to do phone work with me. She was a wonderful person and always willing to put forth extra effort to help other people. She was a great foster mother to her foster cats, a fun person to spend time with and she will be greatly missed.

Tami was a great volunteer for Kalamazoo Animal Rescue. She was helpful, talented, willing to share her experiences and knowledge of animals, and always had a smile or a story. Her love for animals was obvious and we were fortunate that she chose Kalamazoo Animal Rescue as the organization she wanted to volunteer for. She transferred her foster cat, Gus Arnold, to me March 2003. It was suppose to be temporary! A year later, we still have Gus and we adore him because he brings us laughs and smiles. I think of Tami when I look at Gus or laugh at his silly nature. Tami will be missed.

I met Tami when we both were fosters for the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue. She was a great and counted on source of guidance and information. We enjoyed sharing our foster stories together and commiserating on things the little rascals did. Tami you will be very missed but the fond memories I have will live forever.

I met Tammi four years ago at one of our annual adoptathons. I thought she was a very talented person - she was painting the little kids' faces. As our paths continued to cross within Kalamazoo Rescue, I discovered what a caring and compassionate person Tammi was. She will be missed. My thoughts are with the family. Linda Campbell

I am so sorry! I loved talking to Tami at all the KAR events and at the store. We'd sit and talk for hours. She was always cheerful and smiling. She had a lovely, BRIGHT face and smile. And I was enthralled by her fingernails, I loved them! I'd always admire all her different rings. She was so cute...I think of her often, I have prayed for her often. She'll remain in my heart forever. She had a beautiful soul. Our prayers are with her family. Kathy and Joe Michinock

Dear Rafael, When there is love, any life is too short. Tammy had a way of making the joys of life contagious and always throught of others. We remember especially her welcoming us to Paw Paw and her many Christmas crafts she would give us at our district Christmas Parties. We also remember the many stories she told of household "emergencies" she would have to handle and home improvement projects she would do. We know you are grateful for your life with Tammy, and we feel fortunate to have known her. With Sympathy, Charles & Karen

Tami, I am so sad to hear you are gone. You were filled with compassion for animals and it was my pleasure to work with you for Kalamazoo Animal Rescue. You leave a huge void behind and we will miss you. But I know in my heart that the angels are gonna love you. I can already see you embracing all the cats in heaven, and yes, dogs and cats do go to heaven because it wouldnt be heaven without them. My heartfelt sympathy to your family. God Bless you. from, Sabina Seidel

Hello Rafael and family, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I once heard something that was said to me at a time of loss that made me feel better, perhaps you too can find comfort in this: Invision that you are on a shore and waving goodbye to your love one on a ship sailing away, but keep in mind as the ship is approaching the other shore there are many loved ones waiting for her and waving hello. You're in my prayers. Toby
