Passed away Thursday afternoon April 15, 2004 at the home of her son. Dorothy was born was born January 8, 1924 in East Tawas, MI. the daughter of the late Reuben and Dorothy (Cadorette) Quarters. She was the bookkeeper for her husbands, business the Crystal Flash gas station for 16 years, retiring in 1978. Dorothy was member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw, St. Mary’s Altar Society, Gold Card member Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate, American Legion Auxiliary, Paw Paw, and the Crystal Flash Bowling Team. On Feb. 3, 1945 in East Tawas, MI, Dorothy was united in marriage to Wallace E. White who preceded her in death on March 11, 2004. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Jane Arellano of Paw Paw; son Thomas E. (Linda) White of Kalamazoo; 2 grandsons, Reyes and Daniel Arellano of Paw Paw; 2 granddaughters, Jennifer and Lindsay White of Kalamazoo; step-daughter, LeeAnn Maxwell of Georgetown, SC; brother, Charles (MaryLou) Quarters of East Tawas, MI; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Quarters and a sister, Jane Simmons. Family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a vigil service will be held Sunday 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Fr. Robert Creagan celebrant. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
