Bob was a truly NICE man. He always had a warm and cheerful greeting for the library staff and we enjoyed hearing stories of his life. I believe he genuinely LIKED people and it showed. I appreciated his interest in the outreach of the library and his commitment to helping in anyway he could. Bob was a jewel and I am happy to have known him.

Bob, in my role as the church secretary for 7 years, from 1990 to 1997, you were one of my favorite people! You always had a smile and it was infectious to others. Many, many times you brightened my day simply by coming in and saying "Hi". I am sorry to hear you are gone. The world is a sadder place because you are not here, but heaven is smiling, Im sure. God Bless you and may you rest in peace. from, Sabina

I was saddened to read Bob's obituary in the Kalamazoo Gazette. On his frequent visits to the Paw Paw District Library, I always enjoyed having a chat with him when I was on the staff there. He was always amused when I referred to him as "the handsomest man in Paw Paw." He was a truly fine gentleman.
