Passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 19, 2004 at LakeView Community Hospital, Paw Paw. Don was born May 17, 1925 in Decatur, MI the son of the late George and Doris (Bliss) Labadie. He was the owner and operator o Labadie Oil Company in Paw Paw for many years retiring on September 30, 1980. He was a 32 degree Mason and a member of the Saladin Temple of Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo Shrine Club. On March 19, 1948 in Dowagiac, MI, Don was united in marriage to the former Patricia Ann Brown who survives. Also surviving are son, Stephen (Rexine) Labadie of Paw Paw; 2 daughters, Linda (Terry) Crouch of Watervliet and Nancy (David) Streich of Paw Paw; 12 grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Meisner. There will be no visitation or service as cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children. Arrangements by the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw.

Dear Pat,Steve,Rex & family, i couldn't believe my eyes when i got my Paw Paw paper today! I had no idea your dad had passed away, he was a very good friend to me and my family, he was the best neighbor you could hope for and I will miss him very very much as I am sure you will too. if there is anything I can do to help please call me.
