DILJAK, Stephen J.
Paw Paw
Died peacefully at home and went to be with his Lord on Monday May 31, 2004 after a long Illness. Stephen was born, December 6, 1921 in Calumet, MI the son of Stephen and Mary (Sijak) Diljak. Stephen moved to this area in 1939 and served in World War II from 1941 to 1945 in the Army Air Corp. He worked at the Paw Paw Canning Co, (Knouse Foods) from 1947 until his retirement in 1988. On December 1, 1951 in Paw Paw, Stephen was united in marriage to Norma Brown. After his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading and doing some of his specialty cooking for family gatherings. He is survived by his wife of 52 years and 2 sons and 3 daughters; Mike Diljak, Cathy (Howard) Harrell, Mark Diljak, Jean (Jon) Forcade, & Karen Diljak; 3 beautiful granddaughters; 2 grandsons; 2 great children; brother Paul Diljak of Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by 2 children; his parents; l brother and 5 sisters. There will no visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, 11 a.m. at St Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Fr. Robert F. Creagan officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Van Buren County. Arrangements are by the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw.

Dear Norma,
It has been a long time since we have seen one another, however, I cherish our time working together in Home Care. Please, accept my condolences in the loss of Steve, and know that I am holding you up in Prayer, for comfort and strength. Lord bless Linda A.
