Larry,
When I came home and heard from Bekah that Dorothy had passed away, I thought oh no, I missed my opportunity to tell her how much of an influence she had on me and my families life. I sat there with Bekah, and we thought of the farm, Oreo, Chewie, Spuds and Eggbert. We talked of applesauce and tuna noodle casserole. The game of life and the wood stove. We thought and talked about our missed opportunity to say goodbye and of her calm spirit when it came to working with Matt and Bekah. We remembered microwaved breast milk for both baby and kittens! Of Dorothy teaching the kids to play tennis during the summer and swimming when it was really hot. We thought of the people at St. Marks and VBS and leaning not to put your hands in the fount. We thought of Bobbie Wheatley and the friendship that Bekah and he share. We thought of "bologna" cows, Miss Paw Paw pageants and chicken pox! We remembered sled rides and black eyes, and of children growing up. How soon she was taken but what peace she must feel. We know she will be missed greatly and we know she will always live on in your hearts. We wanted to thank you for sharing Dorothy with us. To thank her for helping to grow Matt and Bekah into the fine adults they are. May God grant you His peace.
