Passed away Thursday morning, August 12, 2004 at his home. Louis was born Dec. 12, 1921 in South Bend, IN the son of late Frank and Mary (Lipowski) Krakowski. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army in the European Theater. From 1971 until 1982 he owned and operated Louie’s TV Sales and Service on Red Arrow Highway at Tea Pot Dome. On January 5, 1946 in South Bend, IN Louis was united in marriage to the former Sophie Krochmal who survives. Also surviving is a daughter Patricia (Robert) Wachtor of Paw Paw; grandson, Robert E. Wachtor of Muskegon, granddaughter, Suzanne Chernugel of Kalamazoo; great granddaughter, Madison Chernugel of Kalamazoo; brother, Frank Krakowski and a sister, Alice Machowiak both of South Bend, IN. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Edward and Clement Krakowski. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Monday, Aug. 16, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Almena Cemetery with Rev. Jeanne Kucks officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Van Buren County. Arrangements are by the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
