To Fran and her children,
We used to live just around the corner from you and your family, on the corner of 39th avenue and 37 1/2 street. The two story house with the Coors silo. We moved to Otsego in June of last year because I became a member of Saint Margaret's Catholic Church in Otsego.
When we moved to Paw Paw in 1987 Bob was Waverly Township supervisor and stopped at our home to welcome us to the neighborhood. I drove past your house for 13 years on my way to and from work at the Upjohn Company. Bob always gave me a wave and a smile. Often it would be Steve who gave me the wave and smile as he was manicuring Austin Cemetery on his lawn tractor, he kept that looking very nice. I remember when Desiree got her first car and yet another vehicle was added to your selection in the driveway :).
I appreciated and remember Bob's efforts to try to get our roads paved, they were terrible at times. And I appreciate his call to shut down the bridge on 38th Avenue to prevent tragedy. But most of all I remember the man, friendly and always willing to help. My husband and I offer our condolences to you Fran and also to your children and grand children. May you find comfort and peace in the good memories of your husband, father and grandfather. Peace be with you all.
