DRISCOLL, Esther Mabel

Paw Paw

Passed away, Friday, October 22, 2004 at LakeView Continuing Care Center, Lawton. Mabel was born December 7, 1912 in Humboldt, IA the daughter of William and Mary (Morse) Strachan. She graduated from Humboldt High School and attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Rapids. Mabel taught in rural schools for five years including a one-room schoolhouse near home. On May 29, 1937 in Humboldt, IA Mabel was united in marriage to Stan G. Driscoll who preceded her in death on December 7, 2002. Surviving are six sons, William (Breeda) Driscoll of Woodstock, IL, Dennis (Jan) Driscoll of Faribault, MN, Bruce (Pattie) Driscoll, of Hibbing, MN, Patrick Driscoll, of Richland, Timothy (Jane) Driscoll of Mattawan, Terrance (Debra) Driscoll of Paw Paw; daughter, Mabel Joanne (James) Reemts of New Prague, MN; 20 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Mabel was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Paw Paw where she was active in the Presbyterian Women’s Association, a Past Matron of Beulah Chapter OES, Flandreau, SD, Past Matron of Benevolence Chapter #256 OES, Lawrence.Friends are being received Friday 6-8 pm at the ADMAS Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Services will be held Saturday 11 am at First Presbyterian Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Tom Abbott, officiating.
