Passed away Saturday morning, January 22, 2005 at LakeView Continuing Care Center, Lawton. Ruth was born July 23, 1904 in Salt Lake City, Utah the daughter of David A. and Martha A. (Picknell) Coombs. She has been a resident of Paw Paw and Lawton since 1977. On June 27, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah, Ruth was united in marriage to Melvin O. Howe who preceded her in death on May 15, 1975. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Surviving are 2 sons, Douglas (Flo Friender) Howe of Portage and Delman D. (Beverly) Howe of Lompoc, CA; 4 grandchildren; 2great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday 3-4 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Interment will be in Crestview Gardens at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford, OR. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
