We were so sorry to hear about Henrietta’s passing. I’m not sure if any of her daughters remember us (maybe Pat) but they might remember my son, Nathan. Henrietta took care of Nathan in our home while we worked. We were so grateful to her for the care she gave our son. For those of you who don’t know or remember Nathan, he was a blonde, curly headed and quite ill little boy. I can still hear him ask me in the morning (even though that was 15 some years ago), “Is Henrietta coming today?”. Henrietta would take him to the library, shopping with her, to her house, gave him treats and held him when he didn’t feel well (which was often). Basically, she treated him like a grandchild and he looked forward to seeing her each day. We were so blessed to have had her for our child. Nathan died at five years of age shortly after Henrietta stopped watching him for us. I can only imagine on the morning of April 26, 2005 Nathan asked God the same question he always asked us – “Is Henrietta coming today?”.
We are so sorry for your loss and our prayers are with you at this time.
