Mert, Jim, Suzanne & members of the family: We were so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We have known the family for 37 years when "Hoot" started working with Jim in 1968 at McNally Elevator Co. in Kalamazoo. As a matter of fact, Jim is the one who gave Houston the nickname of "Hoot". We have had a lot of fun with dune buggys at the sand dunes and riding through the fire trails in the forrest. We will miss him greatly. Even though we moved away, we still kept in contact with Jim and Mert through occasional phone conversations and Christmas cards. God be with you Mert, Jim and Suzanne. Our prayers go out to you.

My heart goes out to Mert and all of the family. Jim was an inspiration with his ever ready smile and warm hugs. He will be greatly missed by all of us at Valley View. I'd like to think he would say...... "Weep not for me, for my father calls, from a far and distant shore, Where Angels sing by a golden gate, And bodies pain no more. Remember me not with a mournful sigh, a grief bowed head, a tearful eye, Lift up your head! Rejoice for me! I stand on the shore of a golden sea, I see at last my Saviors face, I feel the warmth of His love and grace, I'm home at last in this wonderful place." Rest well dear Brother.
