To everyone who visits this page, I just want to say that there was no better person to lift your spirits when you were down...Donny had a heart of gold, he would give the shirt off of his back for anyone whom he met, be it once or a few times. I hope he is watching us down here laughing with us...I'm sure he is. I miss him greatly, along with the rest of his family...it was definately too early.

I was saddened to hear of your loss. I have fond memories of Don in my middle school Art classes in Otsego. He was a wonderful kid, just mischievous enough to be fun, and always kindhearted. Special condolences to Jackie and Angel, and of course to Don's parents. Sincerely, Georgia Newman

We cannot imagine what your family is going through. Words are not enough to express our deepest sympathy. Don was a special friend to our son Nicholas. We will always be thankful for that.

I cannot express how sorry I am for the loss of Don. He was a great friend to me and I will miss him more than you know. Almost every high school(and after high school) memory has Don in it. He was a huge part of my life for several years and he will always be in my heart. I love you Donnie Luce and you will be missed terriably. Your forever friend, Abby.

My heart and prayers go out to your family. Don and his father were customers of mine at Comerica. You could always count on a friendly hello from the two as they were off in the their painting smocks to earn a hard days work.

Bob & I were so sorry to hear about your tragic loss of Donnie. We remember his as the blond, spunky boy who always had the grin on his face. We know, from having lost our own oldest son 3 years ago, that this is just the most agonizing, heartbreaking thing that any parent has to endure. My heart aches for you. I'm going to pass on the best piece of advise that I received during this awful time. Just try to get through the next thing... and then the next thing... to keep going. Remember, he will ALWAYS live in your hearts and will never leave you. We share your pain during this most difficult time. If you ever need to talk, and it does help with those who have shared this experience, we are here for you.
With much sympathy,
Bob & Deb LaGrow

Gail, Don and Family,
Please know that our hearts and prayers are with you in this time of extreme suffering and grief. Knowing first-hand the pain of losing a son tells me you are probably in shock.
I remember Don well, and he always impressed me as a friendly and well behaved young man. His parents obviously did a wonderful job with him. The world is surely a lesser place without him.
I deeply regret that I will not be able to attend the services, but I am travelling to Detroit on Thursday for Summit, and won't be home until late afternoon. But you will be in our prayers.
Peace, Love, and GOD Bless,
Ron & Lois Reist

Don was a very compassionate young man. When I joined the high school wrestling team as a freshman, Don took me under his wing. As my partner in practice, he was always sympathetic to my efforts to fit in with the rest of the team, and the struggles of conditioning and weight loss. Some of my best memories of wrestling during my freshman/sophomore years involve watching Don, Todd, Rhett, and Cody harrass each other. They helped show me how to be a leader, and a team player. Don will be sorely missed.
