KNOTTS, Richard A.

Passed away Friday morning, Sept. 2, 2005 at his home. Richard was born Dec. 12, 1927 in Ivydale, West Virginia the son of Kenna and Kate (Dye) Knotts. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a sales manager for Don Seelye in Kalamazoo and co-owner of Dir Chevrolet in Paw Paw until his retirement. On June 29, 1950 in Detroit, MI, Richard was united in marriage to Mildred “Midge” Watts who preceded him in death on Dec. 4, 1994. He was also preceded in death by a son Rick Knotts; granddaughter, Toysa Racquel Knotts; 2 brothers, Frank and Ernest Knotts and a sister, Mary Knotts. Surviving a daughter, Debbie Mack of Paw Paw; daughter-in-law, Connie Cross of Kalamazoo; 3 grandsons, Ricky (Tara) Mack of Lawton, Matthew Knotts and Jason Jackson of Kalamazoo; 2 granddaughters, Angela Mack and Toysa Knotts of Kalamazoo; great grandchildren, Austin and Christian Jackson of Kalamazoo, Owen Knotts of Kalamazoo, and Dylan Mack of Lawton; parents, Kenna and Kate Knotts of Vinton, OH; brother, Carl (Ruth) Knotts of Chillicothe, OH; sister, Helen Urban of Newark, OH; special friend Erma Buskirk of Mattawan; many nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends Tuesday 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw with funeral service following the visitation at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Wildey Cemetery, Paw Paw with military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family. |

Richard was a good friend. He was a good grandpa to my grandchildren ,Jason ,Matthew and Toysa, and to my great grandchildren ,Austin,Christian,and owen.
Richard and Midge spent a lot of Christmas's with us . We were a family.We will miss him. Our heart goes out to Debbie We love her.
