Passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 8, 2005, at Country Side Nursing Home, South Haven. Mabel was born January 22, 1916 in Watervliet, MI the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (Hiler) Broadhurst. She was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Paw Paw. On September 25, 1994 in Paw Paw, Mabel was united in marriage to John E. Klis who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons, Gordon (Gloria) Daggitt of Decatur, James (Nancy) Daggitt of WI and Wayne (Linda) Daggitt of Texas; 2 daughters, Diane (Oren) Miller of Bangor and Joanne (Bob) Johnson of Grand Junction; 2 step-sons, John Klis Jr. and Louis Klis of Illinois; 21 grandchildren and several step-grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; sister, Ida Mead of Coldwater; several nieces and nephews. Mabel was preceded in death by 3 children, Gerald, William and Ella Mae Daggitt; a brother, Malcolm Broadhurst. Family will receive friends Sunday, 3-5 & 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held Monday, 11 a.m. with Pastor Ron Fleck and Pastor Mike Szyknowski officiating. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paw Paw Seventh Day Adventist Church.
