Passed away Saturday, October 29, 2005 at home. Virginia was born January 25, 1928 in South Haven, the daughter of Max and Hattie (Kendall) Goodrode. Surviving are 2 sons, Kenneth Meyers of Bloomingdale, Bruce Meyers of Bloomingdale; 2 daughters, Diane (David) Hyde of Gobles, Sue Ann (Jim) Graham of Campbellsville, KY; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Betty Lithen of South Haven; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Dale Meyers in 1973 and Milfred (Skip) Meyers in 2003, a brother Max Goodrode, Jr. in 1974, and a sister, Jane Pearce. Graveside services will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford, with Rev. Harold F. Filbrandt, Officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to South Haven Area Hospice. Aunt Virginia was a wonderful woman with many setbacks in her life however she always had a smile and never complained. This should be a path for all to follow.
She will be missed by all of us.

VIRGINIA WAS ALWAYS JOVIAL WHEN I CALLED OR VISITED HER NO MATTER HOW BAD OF A DAY SHE WAS HAVING. IF I WAS HAVING A BAD DAY SHE MANAGED TO MAKE ME SMILE.SHE WILL BE MISSED.

AUNT VIRGINIA HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVORITE AUNT. GROWING UP WHEN I NEEDED TO FIND OUT ABOUT YOUNG WOMAN THINGS I'D CALL HER FOR STRAIGT ANSWERS.SHE ALWAYS MADE ME FEEL BETTER AFTER TALKING WITH HER. IWILL MISS TALKING WITH HER.
