Passed away Saturday afternoon, November 12, 2005 at her home. Mary was born May 6, 1919 in Mattawan, MI the daughter of the late Anton and Johanna (Mencel) Godisak. Mary was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Paw Paw and the Van Buren County Extension. Her hobbies were growing and nurturing her flowers, garden and garage sales. Her life challenge was raising her 5 boys on the farm, canning jelly and vegetables from her garden and raising live stock. She made the best bread ever. On February 14, 1941 in Paw Paw, Mary was united in marriage to Chilton Wydick who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents. 4 sisters, Ann, Kate, Teresa, and Helen; 3 brothers, Sam, Tony and John. Surviving are 5 son, Tom (Marti), Joe (Pat), Dan (JoAnn), Tim (Kelly), and Jim (Suad); sister Josephine McEnterfer; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Friends were received Monday at Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held (today) Tuesday, 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Fr. Robert F. Creagan celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions maybe made to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
