Passed away Friday evening, Dec. 9, 2005 at Lakeview Continuing Care Center, Lawton. Jack was born August 9, 1924 in Kalamazoo, MI the son of the late Jacob J. and Trina (Venhuis) Emaar. Jack was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army in the European Theater as a machine gunner with Battery “B” 957th Field Artillery Battalion. Upon returning home he was a printer by trade and was employed in Kalamazoo. Jack was a member of the Paw Paw Christian Reformed Church, Paw Paw, the Paw Paw Senior Citizens Club and loved fishing. On July 27, 1962 in Angola, IN Jack was united in marriage to Louise M. “Sally” Dobbins who survives. Also surviving are a son Dale (Lois) Emaar of Vicksburg; daughter, Marilyn (David) Dennany of Kalamazoo; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 2 sisters, Dena Emaar and Betty Smith; 2 brothers (twins), Duane and Juane Emaar all of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Dowlen and Donald Emaar. Family will receive friends Monday 4-6 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held Tuesday 1 p.m. with Pastor Henry DeVries officiating. A gathering of family and friends at the Paw Paw Christian reformed Church will follow the service. Private family interment services will be at Mount Ever-Rest Cemetery, Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paw Paw Christian Reformed Church.
