Passed away Saturday afternoon, Dec. 17, 2005 at Heartland Health Care Center, Kalamazoo. Bill was born June 12, 1919 in Marion, IN the son of the late Vernon and Daisy (Roberts) Wright. He was a graduate of Constantine High School and was elected to the Constantine High School Hall of Fame in football for their undefeated and un-scored upon season in 1937. Bill was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman in the Pacific Theater. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Paw Paw as a rural mail carrier retiring in 1975. Bill was a member of the American Legion, McGowan-Johnson Post #68, Paw Paw and loved fishing. On June 16, 1942 in Marion, IN, Bill was united in marriage to Nellie M. Dyer who survives. Also surviving are 5 sons, Ronald (Clara) Wright of Kalamazoo, Daniel (Kathy) Wright of Paw Paw, Gerald (Bonnie) Wright of Lawrence, Joseph Wright of Marcellus and Kenneth (Lyn) Wright of Climax; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Carl (Rosemary) Wright of Paw Paw; 4 sisters, Grace (Forest) Crum of Ludington, MI, Gladys McClain of Three Rivers, Joann (Bud) Miller of Bristol, IN and Julie (Hal) Teuscher of Champaign, IL; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by3 brothers and 2 sisters. Family will receive friends, Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Constantine Cemetery with military honors.
