Passed away Monday evening, January 16, 2006 at Metron of Bloomingdale. Helen was born April 26, 1912 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Adam and Josephine (Widomski) Kapuscinski. Helen and her husband Raymond were owner/operator of the Dyckman Hotel/Restaurant retiring in 1952. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw, St. Mary’s Church Altar Society and the Polish National Women’s Alliance. On May 26, 1934 in South Bend, IN, Helen was united in marriage to Raymond E. Scotese, Sr. who preceded her in death on March 9, 1980. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Chester Kapuscinski and a sister, Celia Maltz. Surviving are 3 sons, Raymond C. (Carol) Scotese and Richard N. (Linda) Scotese of Paw Paw, Ralph J. Scotese of Kalamazoo; grandson, Kevin Scotese of Clearwater, MN; 4 granddaughters, Kristine (Adrian) Ratushniak of Ajax, Ontario, Angela (Kenneth) Frizzel of Hadley, MI, Laurie (fiancée, Jeff Stine) Scotese of St. Clair Shores, MI, and Amanda Scotese of San Francisco, CA; grandson, Todd Walton of LasVegas, NV; 2 great granddaughters, Alexa and Emma Brunner of Ajax, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a vigil service will be held Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Fr. Robert F. Creagan celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church, Paw Paw or Allegan County Wings of Hope Hospice.
