SIRRINE, William L. Sr.
Paw Paw
Passed away peacefully Thursday evening, March 9, 2006 at his home with his family at his side. Bill was born March 27, 1939 in Paw Paw the son of the late Donald C. and Frances (Mearing/Duart) Sirrine. Bill was employed as a mechanic for Knouse Foods until his retirement. He loved to tinker and do repairs but most of all loved playing and being with his grandchildren. On Nov. 29, 1959 in Decatur, Michigan Bill was united in marriage to Alma M. Myers who survives. Also surviving are 4 children, William Sirrine Jr, Linda Sirrine and Arthur Sirrine all of Paw Paw and Sherry (Kenneth) Shears of Mattawan; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Helen Moon of Paw Paw, Ann (Joe) Good of Lawton, Patricia (Henry) Stanfill of Lawton, Pauline Gillette of Decatur; brother, Donald C. Sirrine of Lawton; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Arthur and Lester Sirrine. Family will receive friends Tuesday 1-2 p.m. at the Full Gospel Church, Paw Paw with services following at 2 p.m. with Rev. William Chapman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Michigan or the West Michigan Cancer Center, Kalamazoo. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. How deeply saddened I am to have lost a good friend, a second father to me. I loved going down and visiting with Bill. He was such a nice man, great father and grandpa. He would always go out of his way to help someone in need. I will never forget him. My condolences to all the family and the many who knew him.
