1923 - 2006
Age: 83
MAHLER, Louise Evelyn
Gobles
Gathered into the loving arms of the Lord on Saturday afternoon, March 25, 2006 at her home. Louise was born Feb. 23, 1923 in Peru, IN the daughter of the late Nile and Lena (Lesley) Nicodemus. She was married to Arthur L. Mahler in South Bend, Indiana on October 19, 1940 and was his loving wife, companion and friend for 65 years. Together they founded the Full Gospel Church, Paw Paw, MI in 1962. As mother of church and family she truly was “a virtuous woman whose price is far above rubies…and the heart of her husband did safely trust in her.” The works of her hands brought forth many quilts, afghans and crocheted animals for her family and friends or peanut brittle for church fund raisers. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Arthur; 3 children, “who raise up and call her blessed”. Son, Gene (Julie) Mahler; daughters, Judy (Larry) McEndarfer, Sr. and Betty Lou (Glen) Burgett; 14 grandchildren, Larry (Lynette) McEndarfer, Jr., Lorrie (David) Henson, Deb (Dan) Keister, Daniel (Mari) McEndarfer, David (Becky) Burgett, Angela (Andrew) McDonald, Gregory Mahler, Gena Miller, Zeb (Helona) Cadzow Mahler, Geno (Dorene) Mahler, Sunny April (Jon) Guerin, Elijah Mahler, Earl Lewis Mahler, and Tonisha Mahler; 3 sisters, Dorthy Buytas, Janette (Jack) Armey, and Deloris Lewis; 2 brothers, Roy (Millie) Nicodemus and Ted (Wilma) Nicodemus Raub and 24 great grandchildren. A woman who feareth the Lord shall be praised…but thou excellest them all.” Family will receive friends Tuesday 3-8 p.m. at the Full Gospel Church, 32560 56th Avenue, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. with Rev. William Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in Robinson Cemetery, Gobles. Memorial contributions may be made to the Full Gospel Church, Paw Paw. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.

Missing my grandma and mentor... I love you. Thank you for your legacy. It's times like right now we'd sit and talk about life situations and your words of wisdom would carry me through. I miss you more today than I did yesterday!

Giving it all to him. A song she wrote and stood up in church one night and sang with out music and the Spirit of God filled the place. That was the story of her life, she gave it all to Jesus. Because of her and Bro. Mahler giving it all, I am in church today. I am so deeply thankful to them for their ministry. What great rewards they have headed their way. Sis Mahler right now is with the one she gave it all for.
Thank you Sis Mahler for everything and for being a perfect role model for all the ladies of the Church.
With love; Bro. Tim MacPhee

Sister Mahler was a wonderful, kind and loving person. She always greeted me with a smile on her face. When I was younger she made me a stuffed animal, a monkey. I probably never let her know how much I true loved her and appreicated her taking the time out of her life to make me the stuff animal. I am truly sorry that I was not able to make it to the funeral, because I would have loved to say good bye to her. I want Brother Mahler and the family to know that they have been in my prayers and will continue to be. God Bless.

Sister Mahler will sadly be missed by all that knew her. When we think of a "lady" we think of Sister Mahler because she represents all that a "true lady" is!

What a wonderful woman Aunt Louise was! I remember many a Sunday driving to Paw Paw, Michigan to share in church services with Uncle Art and Aunt Louise. I am so sorry for your loss. Remember, our loss is Heaven's gain! She will truly be missed.
