Passed away Thursday afternoon, June 29, 2006 at Alamo Nursing Home. Charles was born October 13, 1914 in Paw Paw the son of the late James Albert and Verna May (Heller) Hall. The family lived in Wisconsin during the depression and returned to Michigan where he worked at Ingersol during World War II. He then was a mechanic for Harrison Chevrolet until his retirement in 1978. He went on to drive transport vehicles for DeVrou Chevrolet who purchased the dealership and retired again at the age of 85. On September 5, 1936 in Kalamazoo, Charles was united in marriage to Thelma Mae McLain who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons, David (Ruth) Hall of Kalamazoo, Hugh (Sue) Hall of Portage and Michael (Paula) Hall of Spokane, WA; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Lillian) Hall of Paw Paw; sister, Betty Lisowski of Paw Paw; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Charles was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Laura Lee Hall and Barbara (Johnson) Hall; 2 brothers, Harold and Donald Hall; 2 sisters, Maxine Treat and Hazel Fitzsimmons. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Family services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Greater Kalamazoo. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
