Passed away Friday evening, Sept. 29, 2006 at Kairos Dwelling, Kalamazoo. Ruth Anne was born May 12, 1920 in Muskegon, MI the daughter of the late Russell and Helen J. (Bennett) Spring. Her hobbies were reading, needlework, crossword puzzles, playing cards and shopping. On May 24, 1941 in Muskegon, Ruth Anne was united in marriage to John R. Peterson who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Joan L. (Kenneth) Carlsen of Paw Paw and Kathleen (Jeff) McCluskey of Columbus, OH; 3 sons, John R. Peterson, Jr. of Portage, Jed M. (Marian) Peterson of Kalamazoo and Benjamin R. (Susan) Peterson, III of Portage; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Edith Jane Colvin and Helen Jean Goodings both of Dyersburg, TN; one brother-in-law, Benjamin R. (Beulah) Peterson, Jr. of Traverse City, one sister-in-law, Caroline Lloyd of Grand Rapids and several nieces and nephews. Ruth Anne was preceded in death by one son, David, and 2 grandsons, Richard Carlsen and Todd Peterson. Family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home Paw Paw. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 721 Pine Street, Paw Paw, with Pastor Mark Whittaker officiating.
