Passed away Tuesday morning, October 31, 2006 at Borgess Nursing Home, Kalamazoo. Harold was born April 2, 1924 in Allegan, MI the son of the late L.D. and Pearl (Bassett) Reynolds. He was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School Class of 1943. After graduation Harold enlisted into the U.S. Navy during World War II serving in the Pacific Theater as a Gunners Mate Third Class on the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid. He was employed as a fork lift driver for the Georgia-Pacific Paper Mill retiring in 1972 and as a bus driver for the Mattawan Schools for 17 years. He was also employed at Walgreen Laboratories retiring in 1986. On June 9, 1945 in Chicago, IL Harold was united in marriage to Bertha J. Murphy who preceded him in death on March 2, 1995. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Donna Godsey, 2 brothers Floyd and Merle Reynolds. Surviving are 2 sons, Michael Reynolds of Kalamazoo and Lowell (Colette) Reynolds of Kalamazoo; daughter, Kathleen Dean of Paw Paw; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Charles (Ann) Reynolds of Oshtemo; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. A graveside service will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan. Memorial contributions may be made to the patient activity fund of Borgess Nursing Home, 537 Chicago, Ave., Kalamazoo, 49048.
