Passed away Sunday morning, November 5, 2006 at her home. Betty was born August 20, 1929 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Martin and Christine Gebhardt. Betty loved the farm life, gardening, canning and most of all her grandchildren. On April 22, 1950 IN Chicago, IL, Betty was united in marriage to Mitchell S. Stanko who preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1994. She was also preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters. Surviving are 2 sons, Lance Stanko and Mark Stanko both of Lawrence; 2 daughters, Gail (John) Genovese of Alamosa, CO and Terry DiSilvio of Wauconda, IL; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Wally (Millie) Gebhardt of Huntley, IL; sister, Marge Williams of Clearwater, FL; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday evening 7 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw with Rev. William Chapman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Michigan.
