Bill & Kathy, I was so saddened to read of your dad's passing in the Mansfield newspaper. I knew from talking to Bill that Don wasn't doing well. Not only did I know him from the Kalamazoo plant but also worked with him here in Mansfield before he retired. He was such a nice guy! It was a pleasure to have known him!
I believe we were in Kalamazoo at the same time last month when my grandmother passed away at the same time your step-dad did, Kathy. Please accept my condolences on the loss of both of your dads. Take care.

I was aboard the U.S.S. Herrmann DD 532 in the Mediterrainean Sea in 1957, and this is where I met Don. I later renewed our friendship at General Motors in 1966. We shared many stories about our time in the Navy. Since Don was so friendly, I always enjoyed talking to him.
