Passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2006 at Heartland in Kalamazoo. Fritz was born August 7, 1928 in Kalamazoo the son of the late Robert J. and Gladys (Hunter) Fooy. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Fritz was employed by Warner Supply in Paw Paw for 27 years and then for the Village of Paw Paw at the Public Works Dept. until his retirement on February 13, 1993. He was an active member of the Paw Paw Volunteer Fire Department since 1967 and was a member of the Paw Paw United Methodist Church. On August 8, 1951 in Yuma, AZ Fritz was united in marriage to Avis June Whisler who survives. Also surviving are a son, Steve (Nancy) Fooy of Howell, MI; daughter, Leann Fooy of Germantown, WI; 4 grandchildren, Kyle, Josh, Chris and Ashley Fooy; brother, Robert (Donna) Fooy of Parchment; several nieces and nephews; special extended family and neighbor, Rob and Julie Courter and their children, Emily and Robby. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Johanna Staggs. Family will receive friends Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church with Rev. Carolin Spragg officiating. Interment will follow in Wildey Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. |

We were very sorry to learn of the passing of Fritz. Please accept our condolences. I remember Fritz as being quick with chuckle and a smile for me as a small child.
We will hold fritz and the family in our thoughts on Tues.
