Went to be with his Lord, Tuesday afternoon, December 19, 2006 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. Nick was born October 4, 1911 in Leiden, The Netherlands the son of Clemons and Catherine (Bink) Plug. Nick retired from James River Corporation in 1973 and was a member of the Decatur First Reformed Church. On June 17, 1939 in Chicago, Nick was united in marriage to Dorothy M. Groenendal who preceded him in death on July 17, 2002. Surviving are 2 daughters Dolores (William) Outman and Barbara (Charles) Reits of Kalamazoo; 2 sons Willard (Kim) Plug of Paw Paw and Roger (Diane) Plug of Oswego, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother Richard of Savoy, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at the First Reformed Church, Decatur with Pastor Mark Hofstra officiating. Interment will be in Wildey Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contribution may be made to the First Reformed Church, Decatur.

To Delores and family: I remember your Dad from childhood days and always associate spring and growing plants with him. I recall him as a quiet man. Please know that Terry and I are thinking of you.
