Passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 24, 2007 at Heartland Health Care Center, Kalamazoo. Glen was born September 2, 1921 in Benton Harbor the son of the late Wendel and Gladys (Bishop) Waldo. He was a milk tester for the State of Michigan 1947-1948. He then farmed in the Battle Creek area for several years and then bought the farm in Paw Paw in 1965. Glen served on the F.H.A. Farm Loan Board and served as the Dairy Superintendent for the Van Buren County Youth Fair. He was a member of the Tillers International in Scotts, MI. Surviving are the children’s mother, Helen Waldo of Paw Paw; son, Robert Glen (Sherry) Waldo of Paw Paw; 5 daughters, Kathleen (Steven) Crow of Climax, Colleen (Ervin) Pedersen of Paw Paw, Patricia Gifford of Medina, OH, Christine (Robert) Thomson of Fairport, NY and Shannon (John) Sankey of Stevensville, MI; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Dale (Betsy) Waldo of Fayetteville, PA 4 sisters, Bernice Brown of Wilmington, NC, Jean (Floyd) Slatton of Thayor, MO, June Hess of Tucson, AZ and Ruth (Nate) Valenti of Benton Harbor, MI; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers, Max, George, Dean and Robert “Sam” Waldo. Family will receive friends Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. with Chaplain Walter McCutheon of the Lakeshore Christian Church, Stevensville officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Van Buren County Red Cross or the Tiller International, Scotts, MI.
