Passed away Thursday afternoon, February 8, 2007 at Lakeview Continuing Care Center, Lawton. Edna was born May 15, 1912 in East Chicago, IN the daughter of the late Richard G. and Ida (Stanton) Miller. She was a graduate of Breedsville High School Class of 1930 and was a dental assistant for Dr. Markovich, DDS in Paw Paw until her retirement. On August 29, 1931 in South Bend, IN, Edna was united in marriage to Ross Byers who preceded her in death in September of 1970. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mildred Deneau and Ida May Waite, and a brother, Phillip Miller. Surviving are a daughter, Nancy (Allen) McMachen of Paw Paw; son, Richard Byers of Lawton; 6 grandchildren of which she was very proud; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Helen Brown of Kalamazoo; brother, Richard Miller of Grand Junction; many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Monday 1 to 2 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw, where service will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rebecca Hamming officiating. Interment to follow in Wildey Cemetery, Paw Paw. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lakeview Continuing Care Center Patient Activity Fund.

To Mrs, Beyers family,
She was always the sunshine in my day when I saw here. We had such wonderful visits at Ben Franklins and all around town when I saw her. What a kind and gentle lady. I will keep Mrs. Beyers and her family in my thoughts and prayers and in my heart too.

Edna was always so nice to us when she worked at Ben Franklins. She always had a kind word and very helpful to me.
