Passed away Monday December 4, 2006 at his home. Bill was born in South Haven, MI the son of the late William F. and Marian W. (Banta) Crawford. He was a US Navy veteran serving on the USS Toledo during the Korean War receiving 3 battle stars. Bill enjoyed volunteering his time at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Battle Creek with over 10,000 hours of service. On April 29, 1967 in Kalamazoo, Bill was united in marriage to Mona S. (Disbrow) Rosenberger who preceded him in death on May 2, 2004. He was also preceded in death by 2 step-sons, Gordon Rosenberger in 1987 and Douglas Rosenberger in 2005. Surviving are a son, William D. Crawford, Jr; step-daughter, LaVonne (Harry) Vestal; foster daughter, Christine (Robert) DesJardins; 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren. Per Bill’s request cremation has taken place and according to his wishes there will be no visitation or service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Veterans Administration Hospital Canteen for VA patients. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
