Paw Paw

Passed away Monday, March 13, 2007 at his home in Paw Paw. Jim was born on Nov. 4, 1924 to the late Boston and Cora (Brinningstall) Mann Sr. in Little Rock, AR. He was employed by the Independent Elevator Co. as an installer until his retirement in 1987 and was previously employed with Ingersol of Kalamazoo. He was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Lawton and a member of the International Union of Elevator Contractors Local 123, now known as Local 85. On June 25, 1945 he was united in marriage to Helen Mae Hill in South Bend IN. who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Helen Jean Dreier of Lawrence; son, Toby James Mann of Gobles; 5 sisters, Fay Bowman and Hettie Jo Urick both of Paw Paw, Beatrice Sanders of Old Town FL., Bonnie Lou Aaron of Waskom, Texas and Sandra Kay Hooper of Battle Creek, MI; 4 brothers, Boston Harrison Mann Jr. of Clearwater FL, Charles Dean Mann Sr. of Lorida, FL, Alvin Leo Mann of Lawton and Douglas MacArthur Mann of Battle Creek; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Jamie Lee Welbaum; sisters, Dorothy Mae Sanford and Elsie Mann; brother, Howard Patrick Mann. Family will receive friends on Friday (March 16) 5-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw and Saturday 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church where services will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Biteman officiating. Interment will follow in Wildey Cemetery, Paw Paw. A luncheon will follow burial at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Lawton. Memorial contributions maybe made to St. Paul’s Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.

I will really miss seeing Mr. Mann at the bank...He would always take the time to stop and say "hi." He was a very special man...He will be missed...My condolences to the entire family... Angel
