Passed away peacefully Sunday morning, April 15, 2007 at home with his family by his side. Jim was born October 1, 1930 in Paw Paw the son of the late Carl and Helen (Bills) Stull. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army with the Corps of Engineers as a demolition expert. Jim was a brick mason for 51 years retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Paw Paw United Methodist Church, the American Legion, McGowan-Johnson Post # 68, Paw Paw of which he was a member of the Veterans Park Building Committee; and a member and Past Master of the Paw Paw-Lawton Lodge # 25 F&AM. On September 17, 1955 in Niles, MI. Jim was united in marriage to Norma Jean Rau who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Robert Stull and Donald (Rhonda) Stull both of Paw Paw; 2 daughters, Sandra (Bill) Justus of Midland, MI and Lynn (Mark) Serbenski of Paw Paw; 14 grandchildren; sister, Marge (Donald) Heath of Kalamazoo, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a Masonic service will be held Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. under the auspices of the Paw Paw-Lawton Lodge # 25 F&AM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church with Rev. Carolin Spragg officiating. Interment will follow in Wildey Cemetery, Paw Paw with military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Paw Paw United Methodist Church, Maple City Veterans Memorial Park, Paw Paw or Hospice of Southwest Michigan.

I am a classmate of Jim in the Class of 49. I have known him since grad school. We played sports together and I consider him a good friend although distance kept us from seeing each other very often. Usually a class reunions. I am extremely sorry to hear the news of his passing. My sincere sympathies to his family.
