Marian E. Abnet Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1920 - 2007 Age: 87 ABNET, Marian E. Water Street Paw Paw Passed away Saturday afternoon, June 23, 2007 at LakeView Community Hospital, Paw Paw. Marian was born April 15, 1920 in Hart, Michigan the daughter of the late Louis D. and Gwyneth L. (Mead) Tyler. While living in Hart Marian loved to go camping on Lake Michigan with her family and climb the sand dunes and walk along the beach with her cousin and friends. She moved to Kalamazoo at the age of 10 and then attended Kalamazoo Central where she focused on a business education and was in school plays. She and her mom were like best of friends, shopping and going out to eat. After her marriage, her life became being a homemaker for her family of five children. Along with raising her family she raised a lot of animal and loved taking her dogs for walks down by the river. Marian loved reading poetry, watching wild animals in her back yard and taught her children to love nature and animals. In 1937 in Kalamazoo Marian was united in marriage to Charles J. Abnet who preceded her in death on September 23, 1964. She was also preceded in death by a son, Paul R. Abnet and a brother, Gerald Tyler. Surviving are 2 sons, Jerry (Audrey) Abnet of Portage and Louie (Janice) Abnet of Paw Paw; 2 daughters, Linda Abnet of Paw Paw and Charlene Sweezy of Mesa, AZ; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6 to 7 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a memorial service will follow the visitation at 7 p.m. Interment of cremains will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo Humane Society. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
