CROSS, Theodore W. “Ted”
Lawton
Formerly of Owosso
Passed away Thursday evening, Aug. 30, 2007 at his home. Ted was born Jan. 23, 1938 in Detroit, MI the son of the late Firmin and Mary (Kimball) Cross. He was a 1956 graduate of Bentley High School, Livonia and graduated with honors from the General Motors Institute, Flint (now Kettering University). He was a journeyman tool and die maker in Detroit until 1961 and a mechanical engineer for many companies throughout Michigan. He was a Junior Achievement Leader, Boy Scout Leader, and was a member of the Manufacturing Engineer Association and a member of the Lake Manitou Board of Directors. His hobbies were crossword puzzles, reading, computer design, fishing, hunting, cooking and computer photography. On June 18, 1960 in Livonia, MI Ted was united in marriage to the former Marylou S. White who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Jacqueline (Robert) Mitchell of Grand Junction; 2 grandchildren, Meredith and Alexander Mitchell of Grand Junction; sister, Cathrine (Jim) Huff of Traverse City, MI; brother, Paul “Pete” Cross of Drummond Island, MI; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Erik Stirling Cross. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Sept. 8th 2 to 3 p.m. at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church where a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. with Rev. Joe Spackman officiating. Interment of cremains will be in Dutton Cemetery, Mendon, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paw Paw United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the Boy Scout Troop #169, Paw Paw. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.

Dad and Mom,
You are the best parents anyone could ask for. I will always hold the precious memories of Dad in my heart, and will tell stories of him to our children so that his legacy will live on. If he were here, Dad would say to me "No whining" and "Remain calm."
