BONARSKI, Emily A.
Paw Paw
Passed away Friday evening, Sept. 21, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family. Emily was born July 17, 1919 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Jacob and Victoria (Jacher) Weglarz. She was employed by LaCantina Ristorante, Paw Paw for 8 years Welch’s Foods, Lawton for 3 years and then Eaton Mfg. Co. for 24 years before her retirement in 1982. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw, the Polish Women’s Alliance and the Paw Paw Senior Citizens. On July 2, 1938 in Paw Paw, Emily was united in marriage to Frank A. Bonarski who preceded her in death on May 7, 1989. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mary Kelpsas and Rosie Polley; brother, Joseph Weglarz. Surviving are 2 sons, Richard (Janet) Bonarski of Gaylord, MI and Robert (Carol) Bonarski of Kalamazoo; 5 daughters, Barbara (Lee) Zach of Paw Paw, Rosemary (Cecil) Blackburn of Portage, Carol (James) Blackburn of Paw Paw, Jacqueline (Jan) Groenland of Paw Paw and Patricia (Robert) Carpenter of Vicksburg; 15 grandchildren, Michael, Anthony, Theodore and David Bonarski, Robin Bonarski, Tracy, Robert, and Michele Zach; Amy and Jeff Blackburn; Frank, Regina and Scott Blackburn; and Juri and Jericho Groenland; 17 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jean Woods of Oak Lawn, IL and Stephanie Zad of Plainfield, IL; brother, Henry Weglarz of Ocala, FL; many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a vigil service will be held Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Robert F. Creagan officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Van Buren County or St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw. |
