Shannon,
I remember the day you had your initial interview with us. You were running behind and your Grandmother called to let me know. She told me how you had worked so hard and done this on your own and how proud of you she was. We are too. All of us at Continental. Leslie

Grandpa,
I can remember as a child when dad came to pick me up the first thing I would say is "are we going to Grandma and Granpa's house" knowing Grandma had been baking and you would saddle up Sandy for me, and we would go for a ride. I have so many wonderful memories because of both of you. Everytime I come to the farm to see you my heart is filled with happiness and I feel like I am back home. The love and warmth that you and Grandma share with all of us will never leave. Grandma was the best Grandma I ever had, she taught me what being a grandmother, a mother, and a friend is all about. Grandma showed us all unconditional love and we will love her forever. To my whole family I love you very much. Love your Grandaughter, Angie.

Our sincere sympathy to the entire family of June and Vern Streich. In all my life I have never met a woman quite like June. Fiesty as could be, with a warm heart as big as humanity. So very caring and interested in each of her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She touched so many lives, ours included. It was indeed a pleasure knowing her.

Friend-by definition- is a close companion. There are many kinds of friendship. Someone who cares if you're hurting, lonely, in a mess over your head, need a helping hand, or just some encouragement. To those of us who are blessed to call her friend, June gave us many things to remember. These are some of mine. To be welcomed at Christmas to a house full of love and good food and fun. Gifts that spilled out from the tree - at least five feet into the room. Laughter! Those times will be remembered. Picnics at Charlie and Winnie's shared with you. 4-H and the fair, camping...To be there for me and my family to help share the ache of our grief, I cannot repay, but will remember. June didn't mince words. If you did good she told you and if you messed up, she told you that too. You knew where you stood, you didn't have to wonder. By Mothering nine children and being "Ma Streich" to many of the neighborhood kids, she had the respect of all the "kids". You learned that 4'10" is pretty tall! When i showed up on your doorstep, barefoot, carrying my shoes, arms with grease to my elbows and two boys in tow, who knew that my frustration with that corn planter, needing to talk to Vern, would lead to a friendship that would bind our families for more than a quarter of a century? I know you are busy checking out the sights and will be our guide when we join you. Love always Ruth and Bob White

Both of us feel your lose, I lost my mother in Aug, my our heart goes out to the family and friends that she so loved and enjoyed.
She loved having a great laugh and a good joke now and then working with June was great and never boreing, we always had something to talk about. I some time would ask her how in Gods name did you and vern raise nine children without going out of your mind, her answer was just do the best you can and love them with all your heart because there all have different personality and needs. She said I Love them all. God Bless and all the prays you can handle. Sincerely Yours Jack and Shirley

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. June was a good person. I can remember a New Years day when we were kids my folks loaded the snowmoble in the back of our truck and we headed for the Streich farm. There was always a lot of food and we rode snowmoble most of the day. Then Vern hitch up the horses to the sleigh and took us for a ride. We had a wonderful time. Paul and I worked with June and really enjoyed her.We enjoyed our visit with Rick and Connie and their guest. It was such a nice surprise.
