Paw Paw

Passed away Tuesday afternoon Nov, 20, 2007 at LakeView Community Hospital, Paw Paw. Richard was born Feb. 28, 1917 New York City the son of August and Aurelia (Pollak) Kaiser. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in Naples and Rome and received the Purple Heart. He moved to Paw Paw in 1955 and was a bookkeeper at Neilson’s Inc. in Lawton until his retirement in 1975. He was a 40 year member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw, a member of the American Legion, McGowan-Johnson Post # 68, Paw Paw and the Lawton Lions Club. He loved bowling and playing golf. On Feb. 10, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York, Richard was united in marriage to Evelyn Klein who preceded him in death on Feb. 11, 1991. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Kaiser. Surviving are nieces and nephews, Sharon (Joseph) Soule and Roberta Long both of Paw Paw, William (Danita) Brandt of Grand Ledge, MI; Margaret Kaiser of New York and Edward Kaiser of Ohio; many great and great great nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Saturday, (11/24) 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Whittaker officiating. Interment will follow at Cuddeback Cemetery, Paw Paw with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw.
