Connie, I'm so sorry for your loss. Matt was a fun guy and I liked talking to him when I cared for him at Semper Care. I'm sure both him and Ricky are looking down on your family now.

Matthew holds a special place in our heart's
The first thing I did in the morning was call to see how Matthew and Connie were . I love them so much and Connie was the best mother in the world. Connie put her dreams and life on hold to care for Matthew and she was glad to do it. I was there to help her almost everyday. She was never too tired to do for Matthew.
She did it out of love for Matthew like a mother and father should she was both to Matthew. Even when she was sick and so tired Matthew came first. He would say I am so sorry mom that you have to do so much for me ,but Connie would say I want to do things for you . She never cared how tired she was she loved him. It will be eighteen years this May 30, since Matthew broke his neck. He needed all of his family's love and help .
He had a wonderful stepfather Tom Nulf that really helped her with Matthew.
Matthew loved him and we are glad Connie had him to help her like a father for Matthew should .
Loving Matthew forever Grampa Lloyd and Grama Nin

Connie:
Our family did not have the honor to meet your son Mattew over the years as our lives are so busy and we seem to grow apart. I was over last year twice at your sale hoping to see you as i have very fond memories of you. If words could make everything better for you this letter would never end as i would try my best to help you with your loss. I can not begin to imagine a loss of a child. But i hope you know that my family and i care. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time and if ever you would like to talk please call or send me a e-mail as i am a good listener.
May god be with your son and keep him safe from harm.
Love,
Loraine, Sandy, Sharon, Stacey & Stuart Martin

My heart goes out to all the family of Matthew. I've watched and heard so many wonderful and tragic stories over the years of Matthews life since his accident. Matthew always had a smile and a welcome greeting whenever I came over. A kiss when I left with a "I love you". I'll never forget you. I'm so very happy to have been a part of your loving life. "I love you". Joanne

Dear Connie,
I wish to extend my heart felt condolences to you @ this time. Connie, you & Matt remained in my prayers even in my absence. Matt was funny and as you know a Great person. I remember us talking many nights about our great enjoyment of ganster movies, especially Al Pacino in "Scarface". I felt we all had a good employer/employee relationship as well as an interpersonal connection. Although my working with Matt was short in duration, due to my extensive nursing schedule, and personal loss of someone dear to me; I was, in that short time, touched in a very special way through knowing Matt. I learned more in deepth how to appreciate what I have in life. I witnessed the deepth of a mothers' love and commitment to her child. I learned many things in working with Matt & I thank you both for the opportunity. I will continue to remember you and your family in my prayers. Sincerely, Tennille Buck

Connie,Jason and Toysa. I'm so sorry for you lost.
I was just looking at my wedding album the other day and saw Matt standing there in his gray outfit he was so tall and handsome.
I remember when we all lived in Mattawan and Matt wore his gray car outfit to school, I think that was one of his favorite outfits.
I remember when him and my kid sister had a crush on each other in elementary or right before kindergarten. They both had those cute freckles on their faces.
Lets celebrate his life and remeber all those goods times we had with each other.
God bless you and your family.
Love,
Sheila Gordon.
